Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis is a mystery – horror – interactive action-adventure game from Animation Arts Creative. Deep storylines, deep characters, and dramatic progression are the trio that makes up the appeal in this part of Secret File. Secret Files stunned many people with what Nina Kalenkow and Max discovered in Tunguska. After everything was over, and the secret had been unraveled, the two were rewarding themselves with a relaxing break to regain their spirits. But before he could relax, Dr. Max received an emergency call.

And then the whole world was engulfed in fear, the series of dark days began when Nina and Max discovered that: the above series of disasters are just the beginning, the next victim is the human. Some bad people want everyone to suffer from global cancer that will signal the doom of Earth. To prevent that from happening as a last little effort, the father and son had to again go back in history, finding the mysterious Documentation related to the origin and how to deal with this incident. The setting for the search is in the magnificent city Paris.

Playing this game, besides getting goosebumps because of the secrets, I also have hair-raising with the integrated sound in the game. True to Secret Files’ signature, the whole game has almost no complete music, just melodious notes, sometimes low, sometimes up, depending on the situation. Besides, it is impossible to ignore the voice acting with famous TV voice actors’ extremely horror voices.

The game has interactions between the main characters and the supporting characters. They dialogue, oppose, and discuss together, on all shades of emotions. And it is the voices of these voice actors that make the plot bold, the horror colors, and the game’s startling elements appear sharp, moving not only emotions but also the mind and feeling of players.

Jason Westley: This is a really tricky point and click adventure. Some of the puzzles are pretty obtuse so expect to have to use a walkthrough occasionally. The controls are good. The graphics are nice enough. The dialogue is quite witty at times, with plenty of breaking the fourth wall. The story is utter nonsense, but that’s what makes this kind of game so much fun!

Laura P.: I am currently stuck and need some guidance… I am at the point in the game where Sam is still cashed and guarded in front of the temple face, and max is inside the temple with the back side of the temple face revealed, and I am able to switch between the two characters in order to free Sam. However, any time I am playing as max and [only while] inside the temple, I am unable to use items from my inventory. I can only click to get descriptions of the items and I cannot drag anything from its anchor point. I have tried re starting from earlier save point, re-booting the game and my phone, and am unable to resolve this dilemma and continue the game.

robin may: Awesome. So much better than the 1st. The controls are standard and easy to use. There’s an autosave and manual save (which is extremely important to the standard gamer). The story grabs you and keeps you interested by toggling between 3 different characters. The puzzles are solvable and logical. It’s very difficult to put down. Amazing job devs. Can’t wait for Monolith!!!
