You will be part of the Warriors of Light and together with your companions on a journey to find the cause of the disappearance and restore Crystal’s strength and save the world from darkness.
The game is a masterpiece of beauty, with the most compelling storyline ever written. You will only find the twists and turns you seek out after a long journey. The first boss to appear is often not the last. When you think you are done with the task, and have reached the end of the game’s final chapter, a new battle appears. Or much more than the fierce battles out there, the inner struggles from each person’s tragedy are even more terrible and destructive.
Final Fantasy’s most distinctive feature is the intertwining of flashbacks from the past and the present to explain some unusual character decisions. When you see all the good things hidden in the story, that’s when you really understand the so-called “epic” in Final Fantasy.

Bryan Orendorff: This is more than just a port. The level progression is quicker than the original, and the cap has been extended. It has the wonderful effect of making the game more fun and less grindy than its predecessor (of which I still have an original copy). But it also makes the game easier. It is also much more affordable than the original. I was surprised by some of the minor but well-thought out balance changes that were made. Great job!
