The tragic and ghostly story in Demons Never Lie began with an old man named John watching his funeral from another life. It was a funeral without funeral attendees. Everything was quiet, lonely, which was enough to imagine how lonely and gloomy John had lived before leaving the world. In that rather tragic scene suddenly appeared a young girl named Alba. After a few chats, Alba announced the good news: Thanks to the good things John had done, the doors of the Light area were open to welcome him. He had one more minute to say goodbye to himself and follow Alba to a new world.
The game belongs to the traditional narrative genre. And the amount of time spent on the plot is quite large with a continuous dialogue between the characters. You may choose answers for important situations, for example, you can choose to answer yes/no when Alba asks John if he wants to stay on this earthly life anymore. Although you’ll end up getting caught up in the game’s vortex eventually, at least these early choices make you feel like you’re a part of the story.
In the game, you will have some control over the actions of each character, but of course, it will be limited to certain options to ensure the very long storyline of the game will be unaffected too much. The context in the game is very diverse, where many scenes and camera angles are mainly in the third-person perspective. The transition from scene to scene is also quite quick.

Chardonay: Very impressive game for it to be made by one person. It’s a very quick but fun little story. My only issue is the navigation in the point and click style can leave you tapping for the right spot to get out and the fact that there is no clear objective. It can be done without hints but you can get lost because not every usable object is highlighted and some objects need an action to be completed before being revealed. With that said, it not hard to figure out. All in all, I would recommend!
Maria Castro: I loved this! The story was great and interesting, didn’t see a few of those twists coming. My only thing that bothered me were the controls. I know it’s just a point and click, no joysticks or anything, but if you were too close to the door or standing infront of the object you’d have to click the other side of the room to leave or interact. Besides that, fun game! I’d love to play more when the other chapters come out. – Rosie
Sean Petersen: Loved the game! Great storyline, interesting graphics, and the choices have consequences. My only suggestion: in some locations, the movement was awkward and frustrating because of the tap to move and weird camera angles, or the thing I wanted to interact with was behind the character and kept tapping on him instead.
