NYC: This app is great for audiobooks. Although I rarely review things, this app beats the free media players and even the Audible app. The progress bars for each chapter and the entire book, with remaining time and % read, are both great. It has an equalizer, and most importantly, it lets me choose my audiobook directory instead of assuming. I suggest moving the media keys to the side of the book cover so they are easier to see. There is enough space. The app is worth $2.

However, it creates a file in each audiobook to keep track. This is a minor downside, but it’s fine. Speed control from 0.5x to 3x. You can also use the trial to test out other functions, such as audio boost, sleeptimer and equalizer.
Jacob: The best audio book player available. The app can be used with smart watches. The default arrow control should rewind for 10 seconds, instead of moving to the next file.
