Austin Cates: Switched from Google Voice to the subscription service of Skype. $40 a year for unlimited calling to North America. Got a Skype number etc. Call quality has definitely been better than Hangouts & Google Voice & I have not yet had any issues with phone not ringing & audio feedback like I did with Google. Granted it was free, but as long as it remains very cheap I’ll stay with Skype. I’ve had a few dropped calls but I’ve never seen a VOIP that didn’t drop a call occasionally. Overall not bad!
Jerad: As long as I have good data or wifi connection, it’s always smooth. Voice delay similar to using speaker phone on my Samsung Galaxy S8, so I presume this is currently the height of technology. it’s nice to be able to see my family when I’m working or out of town. My daughter can be on her tablet, my wife can be on her computer, whatever device it is very consistent. Thank you Microsoft for keeping it free of charges and ads.
Peter Pan: Way less heavy now, great. Still a fan of the old Skype. Definitely feels like they tried to fix something that wasn’t broke. Because the company is so intelligent, I can guarantee anyone they ruined it on purpose. ‘Why’ you might ask? Too bad we’ll never find the answer. However, I am sure they have been bussy making amazing $ deals behind the curtains.
